I haven't stayed at a core-branded Hilton in forever...and it way exceeded my expectations. Hotel is beautiful. Rooms are very modern and look recently refurbished. The hotel bathrooms made me think I was at a W hotel - nice work Hilton. Especially given the price and convenience. $* valet parking is a bummer, but standard in the neighborhood I think. I was only charged for 2 days and stayed 3, so didn't feel slighted.

I recently visited this hotel on a family vacation with my sisters and everything was excellent. The bed were very clean and comfy. We got an ocean view room and it could not have been more beautiful. Not only was a view of the ocean but the city streets. The only negative was that the room did not have a microwave which is an inconvenience. Besides that everything was great.

Hilton branded hotel. The romm was clean comfortable and the staff professional. The hotel is about two blocks from the ocean thus problamatic if you have a family vacation and the need to be closser. The one resturant on site was expensive and I felt a limited menu; other resturants thought are in walking distance. Thus if you are abusiness traveler it is acceptable; but not in the same range or comfort level of say the Hilton LAX. Overall I would not stay there again as there are more choices closer to the Ocean with more dining options.

"Deluxe" is not always deluxe

Our "deluxe oceanview" room gave us a glimpse of the ocean between buildings, and no view of the beach. The street noise in our room on the 8th floor (of 37 floors) was like sleeping in the middle of the freeway. We requested adjoining rooms (2 months+ and 5 days prior to arrival), and our rooms were half a hallway apart. The front desk was friendly, but the hotel was unwilling to budge on satisfactory accomodations. Without the help of the travel agent, our family vacation would have been very disappointing. XYZ finally pursuaded management to move us the next day to the 15th floor (which is great!) to rooms next to each other (but not adjoining). Location is good (3 short blocks from the beach)., but I would opt for oceanfront rooms at the beach next time. The hotel's 10th floor pool is great. Sometimes it's mid-afternoon before rooms are cleaned. We requested late checkout - given very reluctantly - and we were able to check our bags at the hotel after checkout. We also appreciated one hour in the hospitality room to freshen up for our 10 p.m. flight.
